Overview
PicoBrief ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile application that summarizes YouTube videos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store your email address and name. This is used solely for account management.
- Usage and event data: We track in-app actions (such as completing sign-up, finishing a summary, or starting a subscription) and standard session data (screen views, session start) so we can measure feature performance and improve the app.
- Device identifiers: Analytics providers receive a device-scoped advertising ID and a Firebase installation ID. We do not enable cross-app tracking — the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt is intentionally not shown.
- Diagnostics: Crash reports and basic performance metrics are collected to help us detect and fix problems.
Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In: Used for authentication. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication on iOS. Subject to Apple Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management for in-app purchases. Subject to RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Sentry: Crash reporting to help us fix issues. Personal identifiers are stripped before transmission. Subject to Sentry Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics (Google): Usage analytics and event measurement. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.
- Facebook (Meta) SDK: App event measurement and ad campaign attribution. Cross-app tracking is disabled. Subject to Meta Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. This removes your personal data from our servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data by viewing your account information in the app.
- Delete your account and associated data at any time from the Account tab.
- Use the app without creating an account (with limited functionality).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Account & Data Deletion
How to Delete Your Account
- Open PicoBrief and go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What Gets Deleted
- Your account profile and email address
- Your session and authentication data
- Your subscription records
Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
